About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Associate maintains an attractive, compelling store presentation that aligns with seasonal themes and corporate standards. The role updates store signage, window displays, and perimeter graphics and helps create a visually engaging shopping experience that drives customer traffic and supports sales.

The associate ensures product displays meet corporate visual and merchandising standards, maintains display quality and neatness, and adjusts arrangements for seasonal changes and product launches. The role implements corporate visual directives, works with store management on visual updates and campaigns, and maintains accurate, consistent signage.

The associate leads by example, supports and trains store associates on presentation practices, and collaborates with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to make visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs. The position also assists with inventory and stock organization, monitors customer reactions to displays, and adapts presentation strategies to improve customer engagement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of retail experience focused on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
• Ability to follow corporate guidelines and implement visual standards effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure in-store displays and product arrangements adhere to corporate visual and merchandising standards.
• Maintain attractive, neat merchandise displays and adjust them for seasonal changes and product launches.
• Organize products into eye-catching displays that enhance the customer experience and support sales.
• Implement corporate visual directives with attention to both aesthetics and functionality.
• Collaborate with store management on visual changes, updates, and campaigns in line with brand standards and seasonal themes.
• Check and update in-store signage, promotional displays, and window and perimeter signage.
• Ensure seasonal signage is displayed correctly and consistently with corporate branding guidelines.
• Lead by example in maintaining merchandising and presentation standards.
• Support, guide, and train store associates on visual presentation practices and techniques.
• Work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to implement visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
• Communicate merchandise or visual challenges and provide solutions to maintain consistency across the store.
• Assist with product inventory and stock organization to support sales targets and promotional activities.
• Help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment.
• Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage and adapt strategies to improve engagement.
