Visual Lead - Woodfield Mall
About The Position
The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales and maximizing profitability through visual merchandising in partnership with the Management Team. The role works closely with Operations and Visual Managers to initiate and delegate work and provide feedback that supports store operations. Duties require constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Visual Lead takes initiative to complete other tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient. The role oversees visual execution and operational functions, supports business performance through reporting and metrics, and partners with management on team coaching, talent development, and store operations. The Visual Lead also collaborates with other leads and leadership to deliver cross-functional training, execute company directives and projects, and open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
- Proven leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.
- Values feedback, is receptive to receiving feedback, and is eager to provide it.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store.
- Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
- Full-time employees are expected to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts; schedules may be subject to change.
- Employees are expected to be available to work from the week of and including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season, in the first week of January.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising through product recovery, restocking, destocking, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Plan visual floor changes with the management team, using payroll management and adapting zones and visual support to business needs.
- Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through completion while meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Use reporting tools with management to identify opportunities involving product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, and make changes as needed.
- Partner with Operations and Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
- Use business metrics to support strategies that drive business results.
- Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
- Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations, guest experience, and visual standards.
- Partner with management to coach, guide, and direct Associates, and support recruitment and talent development.
- Use company performance tools to evaluate Associates and provide ongoing feedback to support individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
- Collaborate with the Operations Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to ensure effective business execution.
- Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives with the leadership team to achieve goals and KPIs.
- Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
- Perform other tasks as needed to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.
