About The Position

The Visual Associate supports selling-floor readiness and visual presentation at Saks Fifth Avenue. The role executes promotional and sale setups, including presentation, lettering, and signage, and assists with trunk shows and personal appearance setups. The associate also replenishes merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units, follows directions from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team, and takes on additional responsibilities as needed. The position calls for initiative, urgency, a proactive approach to solving problems, and the ability to achieve targeted results with limited coaching.

Requirements

At least 2 years of visual team experience in a major multi-level department store.
A portfolio of previously created projects.
Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently.
Experience with painting techniques.
Experience with basic production and knowledge of materials.
Experience with styling and fashion pulls.
Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

Prepare the selling floor for store opening, demonstrating initiative and urgency.
Follow directives and corporate guidelines from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team.
Execute promotional and sale setups, including presentation, lettering, and sales-floor signage.
Assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance setups and preparation.
Replenish merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units.
Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
