About The Position

Madewell is hiring a Visual Associate to help create an inviting store environment through careful visual presentation and attention to detail. The role involves creating window displays and merchandise layouts, maintaining current and organized promotional signage, and executing timely floor sets. The associate works with store management on product placement and daily sales-floor maintenance, keeps backstock organized, and helps ensure products are regularly moved to the floor. The role also supports team members in learning presentation standards in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, follows merchandise receiving and handling guidelines, uses store systems and technology, and responds courteously and respectfully to customers as needed. The position contributes to an inclusive workplace focused on product passion and exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Passionately support the brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay current with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while completing tasks.
• Innovate, champion new ideas, navigate uncertainty, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Have scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos).

Responsibilities

• Create engaging window displays and merchandise layouts.
• Keep promotional signage current and organized.

• Keep backstock organized and move relevant products to the sales floor regularly.

• Help team members learn presentation standards in front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
