About The Position
The visiting student will work on the project of hybrid magnonic devices. Particularly, the student will work on cryogenic magneto-optic measurements of YIG crystals in couple with superconducting resonators for exploring microwave-to-optic transduction. The job also requires close collaborations and coordinated work with multiple project team members within Argonne and in different universities. The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
Requirements
- Skills in ferromagnetic resonance
- Skills in cryogenic system operation
- Skills in nanofabrication
- Skills in python coding
- Lab research experience
- Knowledge in condensed matter physics
- Knowledge in quantum mechanics
- Knowledge in electric circuits
- Proper mathematics knowledge
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution
- Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months
- Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
