About The Position
This is a 2026 UH Summer Internship with ESRA and Argonne National Laboratory focused on the electrochemical evaluation of next-generation air cathodes. The student will conduct metal-air battery research under the guidance of PI Liu and the postdocs. The working scope includes porous material synthesis (MOF, membrane...), battery assembling, testing, material characterization, and data analysis.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution, OR graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months, OR actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Basic understanding of general chemistry and material synthesis.
- Basic knowledge of battery operating principles.
- The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
