About the position
As a Visiting Associate at Techstars Berlin, you will play a crucial role in building and supporting early-stage startups as they progress towards becoming venture-backed companies. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your network by working closely with entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. You will have the chance to attend mentor meetings and Techstars events, gaining exposure to some of the most promising startups and teams in Europe. With a demonstrated interest in technology and startups, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills, you will contribute to the investment process, program operations, and venture building. This role provides an incredible experience, with the potential for future employment or entrepreneurship opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Help build the next batch of startups from early stage to venture-backed companies
- Sit in on mentor meetings and get to know entrepreneurs and investors
- Have access to full involvement in Techstars events with founders, investors, and the local community
- Broaden network and gain exposure to up-and-coming companies and teams in Europe
- Work across the investment process, operations throughout the program, and venture building with participating startups
- Demonstrate interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, etc.
- Have a BA in business, finance, sales, marketing, computer science, law, or relevant professional experience
- Able to complete tasks quickly and effectively
- Be a problem solver and effective communicator
- Have a drive to continuously improve and learn
- Have a positive outlook, desire to meet new people, and lots of energy and enthusiasm
- Authorized to work as a contract
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, etc.
- BA in business, finance, sales, marketing, computer science, law and/or some relevant professional experience (financial modelling, growth hacking, lead generation, etc.).
- Able to jump in and complete any task quickly and effectively.
- Be a problem solver and effective communicator.
- A drive to get better every single day and always looking for opportunities to learn.
- A positive outlook, a desire to learn and meet new people, and lots of energy and enthusiasm.
- Authorised to work as a contract.
