About the position

The Sales & Investor Relations Associate at Techstars is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) through effective sales and marketing strategies. They will collaborate with the capital formation team to increase business opportunities with RIAs, utilize digital and traditional tactics to influence potential prospects, and foster strong relationships with existing investors. Additionally, they will work with the Investor Relations team to create marketing materials and thought leadership content to enhance the company's brand image and maintain a robust pipeline of potential investors.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and other potential prospects to develop a robust pipeline of business opportunities
  • Collaborate with the capital formation team to develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase business opportunities with RIAs
  • Utilize digital and traditional tactics to influence RIAs and other potential prospects
  • Foster strong relationships with existing investors by staying informed about their objectives, risk tolerances, and other relevant factors
  • Liaise with the Techstars revenue team on joint initiatives with prospective partners who want innovation coupled with fund returns
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to develop and maintain marketing materials and thought leadership content

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in sales and investor relations
  • Proven track record in identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with RIAs and other prospects
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Google Suit, Salesforce, and other relevant software applications.
