About The Position
AO Globe Life is seeking a Virtual Member Services Associate to support individuals, families, labor union members, credit union members, and association members as they explore insurance coverage options. The role is fully remote and involves meeting with clients virtually to make insurance decisions clear and comfortable. It is an independent contractor opportunity with American Income Life / Globe Life; compensation is commission-based and performance-driven, not hourly or salaried. The position offers training, coaching, mentorship, licensing guidance, ongoing professional development, and opportunities for advancement. No prior insurance experience is required. Candidates must obtain the appropriate state Life & Health Insurance License before conducting licensed insurance activities and are responsible for applicable pre-licensing coursework, examinations, and state licensing requirements at their own expense. Licensing requirements, fees, compensation, and contractor terms may vary by state.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Obtain the appropriate state Life & Health Insurance License before conducting licensed insurance activities.
- Complete applicable pre-licensing coursework, examinations, and state licensing requirements at the candidate’s expense.
- Provide a computer or laptop, webcam, reliable high-speed internet, and a professional remote workspace.
- Have excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Have a customer-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Be comfortable learning online systems and computer functions.
- Be self-motivated and maintain a positive, professional approach.
- Be able to work successfully both independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
- Work with prospective clients from company-provided warm leads.
- Schedule and conduct virtual appointments.
- Build rapport and identify each client’s insurance needs.
- Present life, supplemental health, and accident insurance options.
- Answer questions and provide clear, helpful information.
- Follow up with clients and maintain professional relationships.
- Keep organized records and complete required documentation.
- Attend ongoing training and coaching sessions.
- Participate in virtual meetings.
