About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Virtual Medical Assistant to support tele-visits. The position is remote, but candidates must be located in Florida. The starting salary is $20.00 per hour; compensation may depend on experience. Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Virtual Medical Assistant helps provide focused, empathetic patient care by greeting and triaging patients, preparing them for virtual appointments, collecting medical histories and vital signs, and reconciling medications. The role also includes assisting patients with joining visits electronically, troubleshooting technical issues, handling inbound patient calls for appointment scheduling, and checking patients out virtually after visits.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience conducting tele-visits is required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency, including experience using an EMR/EHR.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be located in the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

• Healow experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival for virtual visits.
• Help patients join tele-visits electronically and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare patients for virtual appointments by obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Perform medication reconciliation.
• Handle inbound patient calls to assist with scheduling appointments.
• Check patients out virtually after visits.
• Provide focused, empathetic, and service-oriented patient care.
