Violin, Viola Teacher - Private Lessons - Lancaster, PA
About The Position
Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is hiring an enthusiastic and dependable violin and viola instructor for its Lancaster studio. The instructor will teach private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in a welcoming, organized, and supportive studio environment. The role includes helping students build musical confidence, skill, and creativity; preparing them for recitals and other performance opportunities; and contributing to a collaborative, education-focused music community. Availability is needed for one weeknight from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or one recurring four-hour block on Saturdays. The school provides marketing and enrollment systems, scheduling and billing support, private teaching studios, and on-site assistance from a Studio Coordinator.
Requirements
- At least two years of college-level music training, five years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional and timely email communication.
- Confidence and effectiveness in delivering one-on-one instruction.
- Excellent organization and time management.
- Comfort using a digital scheduling system.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels.
- Ability to successfully complete an initial background check and recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment.
