About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Violin Instructor to teach part-time with Lessons on the Go, its North Houston area music school. This is an in-person position teaching students in their homes in zip codes 77380–77382, 77384, 77389, 77375, and 77385. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistency is appreciated, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. The instructor must have reliable transportation to travel to family residences. Successful candidates will have a strong background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience, a love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $35 to $40 per hour. Employees receive liability insurance coverage and mileage reimbursement. Health benefit options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment. Lessons on the Go is a traveling music school offering in-home lessons in The Woodlands and select other Houston neighborhoods. Founded in 2011, it has over 15 teachers instructing in piano, voice, guitar, violin, and cello.

Requirements
