About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking an experienced, professional voice instructor to teach part-time in person at students’ homes through Houston Music School, Lessons on the Go. The position serves specified zip codes in The Woodlands and nearby Houston neighborhoods. Instructors can set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent availability is valued, and candidates with greater availability are preferred. The instructor must have reliable transportation for travel to family residences. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. Employees receive liability insurance coverage and mileage reimbursement. Health benefit options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment. Lessons on the Go is a traveling music school offering home lessons in The Woodlands and select other Houston neighborhoods. Founded in 2011, the school has more than 15 teachers providing instruction in piano, voice, guitar, violin, and cello. Requirements

Strong music background evidenced by a degree in performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
Demonstrated love of teaching.
Experience working with young musicians.
Punctuality.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a routine background check.
