Violin Teacher - The Woodlands, TX
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Violin Instructor to teach part-time for Lessons on the Go, serving the North Houston area, including specified Woodlands-area ZIP codes. Lessons take place in person in students’ homes. The instructor sets their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent availability is valued, and preference is given to candidates with greater availability. A reliable mode of transportation is needed to travel to students’ residences. Successful candidates will have a strong background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience, a love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Pay is $35–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Employees are covered by liability insurance and receive mileage reimbursement. Health benefit options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment. Lessons on the Go is a traveling music school offering home lessons in The Woodlands and select Houston neighborhoods. Founded in 2011, it has more than 15 teachers offering instruction in piano, voice, guitar, violin, and cello. Requirements
