About The Position

The Video Shop Manager leads etrailer’s installation shop, develops teammates, and creates an environment where excellent vehicle installations support industry-leading content. The role combines automotive technical expertise with people leadership, forward planning, and problem-solving. Installations are also opportunities to develop firsthand product knowledge and useful information that helps neighbors choose products and complete installations confidently.

The manager owns shop operations, vehicle scheduling, installation quality, safety, and on-time delivery. They work with video, demo, test-fit, and content teams to make the most of content opportunities, while creating personalized neighbor experiences through proactive communication and follow-through. The role also includes hiring, coaching, and developing teammates; maintaining shop tools, equipment, facilities, and organized work areas; and connecting day-to-day shop activities to etrailer’s purpose and values.

The position is based at 1507 State Hwy A, Wentzville, Missouri 63385. The schedule can vary based on business needs; core hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Salary is undisclosed.

Requirements

• Hands-on automotive installation knowledge and technical expertise sufficient to guide teammates, troubleshoot challenges, and recognize quality work.
• Leadership skills, including developing people, setting expectations, providing meaningful feedback, and helping teammates take ownership.
• Ability to plan ahead, stay organized, and balance multiple vehicles, projects, deadlines, and changing priorities while maintaining quality and safety.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and adapt when schedules, products, or business needs change.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate with teammates across departments.
• Comfort leading a team while staying connected to technical work, shop safety, tools, equipment, installation processes, and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead shop operations, vehicle scheduling, installation quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Anticipate scheduling conflicts, product needs, and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with video, demo, test-fit, and content teams to maximize valuable content opportunities.
• Ensure installations produce accurate, useful information based on firsthand experience.
• Create personalized neighbor experiences through proactive communication and follow-through.
• Hire, coach, and develop teammates in technical, business, and emotional skills.
• Set clear expectations, provide direct feedback, and develop teammate ownership.
• Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
• Connect daily shop activities to etrailer’s small shop purpose and values.
