About The Position

Mastercard is seeking a global product leader and business strategy owner for its flagship agentic commerce products. The role will define key elements of Mastercard’s strategy for enabling access to digital credentials wherever AI agents can initiate or facilitate payments, and will partner with leaders developing and implementing Agent Pay and Agent Pay for Machines to help these products and related value-added services scale globally. The Vice President will orchestrate work across product, franchise, legal, treasury, and regional teams, and represent Mastercard’s agentic commerce vision to external ecosystem partners. The role is accountable for developing a robust commercial strategy, delivering a strong customer and developer experience, and rapidly validating and iterating products with customers to achieve measurable results. The successful candidate will assemble and lead a team that draws on Mastercard’s technology capabilities to develop and commercialize products and expand secure digital payments into new contexts, interfaces, and market segments. The position works closely with internal and external stakeholders—including AI labs, agentic commerce providers, issuers, digital wallets, merchants, acquirers, and payment service providers—to inform product strategy and roadmaps. It also contributes to pricing, P&L management, revenue projections, product development and go-to-market plans, product performance tracking, and enhancements. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with more than 10 years of demonstrated product leadership experience.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of demonstrated product leadership, including leading cross-functional teams through successful zero-to-one and one-to-many product journeys.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer and B2B payment business drivers and experience across multiple payment rails, including card networks and crypto/stablecoin.
  • Understanding of payment rail and flow tradeoffs for merchants, payment service providers, issuers, consumers, and SME buyers.
  • Awareness of Mastercard’s customers, partners, and external stakeholders, including issuers, payment service providers, acquirers, digital wallet operators, and merchants.
  • Comfort with agentic product development and ability to distinguish high-quality from low-quality AI practices.
  • Deep fintech fluency, strong technology foundations, and thorough industry awareness.
  • Understanding of the business side of the technology industry, including developments in frontier AI, agentic commerce enablement, and digital assets.
  • Strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence; ability to solve unstructured problems creatively.
  • Ability to make decisions in ambiguous, high-pressure workstreams and synthesize disorganized inputs and competing stakeholder interests into a cohesive strategic point of view.
  • Strong alliance-building and alignment skills, including in contentious situations.
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate strategy, competitive insights, and complex ideas to executive leadership.
  • Willingness to consider new ideas and contrary viewpoints in pursuit of customer outcomes.
