About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a global, commercial-stage oncology company focused on developing innovative medicines for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The Vice President, PDAC Marketing will report to the SVP, US Field and Marketing and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic brand plans for the company’s lead RAS programs in preparation for anticipated launches. This role involves building and leading a marketing team, setting product/portfolio strategies, and developing omnichannel tactical plans. The position requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive research, and regional differences. Collaboration with field-based marketers, portfolio strategy, and corporate strategy leadership is essential. The VP will also represent marketing in leadership forums, act as a company ambassador, manage the marketing budget, and collaborate closely with sales leadership. The role demands a results-driven, adaptable individual capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic and tactical activities. Key responsibilities include developing product/portfolio positioning, messaging, marketing mix, awareness and educational plans, and customer/digital growth initiatives. This includes developing and implementing promotional and medical education strategies for HCP audiences, managing creative development and agency relationships, and overseeing segmentation and annual brand planning. The role also involves establishing strategic partnerships with key business executives, diagnostic companies, and EMR partners, as well as shaping strategies with the RIED team to develop advocacy and gather insights from KOLs. Understanding the needs of top institutions, key opinion leaders, the competitor landscape, and educational programming is crucial. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred).
  • 20+ years of progressive commercial experience in a biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical company, including strategic marketing experience.
  • Successful history of developing and executing marketing strategy.
  • Experience in leading the launch of new products in competitive spaces.
  • Proven experience in a smaller, rapidly growing company.
  • Demonstrated ability to derive insights/analytics leading to the development of innovative marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership, with the ability to work well cross-functionally and influence across an organization at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well externally: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and delivery of strategic brand plans for the company’s lead RAS programs in preparation for anticipated launches.
  • Building a team to support expanding marketing needs.
  • Setting and characterizing winning product/portfolio strategies (National and Regional).
  • Leading the PDAC marketing team in developing and executing omnichannel tactical portfolio and brand plans.
  • Developing strategies based on comprehensive market knowledge and competitive research (quantitative and qualitative) and expert-level market knowledge.
  • Conducting regional assessments to understand the needs of local communities and developing recommendations and strategic plans.
  • Partnering closely with field-based marketers responsible for Insights and Advocacy.
  • Leading and developing a team of marketers.
  • Collaborating across the enterprise to ensure cross-tumor, portfolio, and pipeline considerations are incorporated into Launch Planning.
  • Inspiring a shared vision for cross-functional partners to achieve product/portfolio goals and objectives.
  • Working closely with portfolio strategy and corporate strategy leadership to translate longer-term product goals into relevant downstream marketing activities over a 2-5 year time horizon, including global considerations.
  • Representing marketing in various leadership forums and Sr. Leadership Meetings.
  • Operating as an ambassador of the company, establishing the organization as a trusted member of the healthcare community.
  • Strategically managing the marketing budget and initiatives to maximize investment.
  • Leveraging data-driven marketing solutions to continuously optimize and drive efficiencies.
  • Collaborating closely with sales leadership to develop marketing strategies and materials that support sales activities and product promotion.
  • Delivering product/portfolio positioning, messaging, marketing mix, awareness and educational plans, and customer and digital growth initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing promotional and medical education strategies for HCP audiences, including creative development, agency management, segmentation, product positioning, and annual brand planning.
  • Establishing Key Strategic Partnerships and partnering with the field team responsible for C-suite engagement of Key Health Systems, IDNs, GPOs, and institution formulary status and guidelines.
  • Establishing and designing strategic partnerships and leading the team to support the execution plan with key business executive partners (diagnostic companies, EMR partners).
  • Shaping strategies in partnership with the lead of the RIED team with responsibility to interface with National and Regional KOLs to develop advocacy and gather Insights.
  • Understanding the needs and developing strategies for top institutions, key opinion leaders, the competitor landscape, and educational programming needs.
  • Supporting and complying with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Acting with an inclusion mindset and modeling these behaviors for the organization.
  • Traveling as needed.
