About The Position

In collaboration with the Director and Team President, the VP of Team Development is responsible for ensuring each team member has the support and foundation to maximize their potential to be successful in competitions and life after Columbia College. Reporting directly to the Director of the Business Competition Team, duties include but not limited to:

Requirements

• Ability to fluently read, write, and understand the English language
• One year's experience with CSMAC
• Graphic design and social media experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Current Columbia College students
• Junior or senior standing preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the Director and President on a plan to develop each team member to maximize their talent and ability as a competitor.
• Analyzing results from Mock Competitions and real Competitions, in addition to conversations with judges, to determine improvements needed to maximize event performance for each team member.
• Designing a plan for each team member for improvement to maximize performance in state and national Competitions.
• Collaborating with the Director on competition event selection for each team member utilizing results of assessments, past performance in competitions, and overall coach and judge feedback.
