About The Position

Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join its busy neurology team. The hospital is part of a family of veterinary hospitals with more than 30 years of history and a supportive, team-driven culture grounded in trust and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves diagnostic sample collection and preparation, anesthesia and procedural support, medication calculations, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, inpatient monitoring, recordkeeping, and radiology support. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., or Sunday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Compensation is listed as $23–$34 per hour in the Base Pay section; the posting also gives a $23–$35 per hour range plus an overnight differential. Sign-on bonuses are offered: $2,000 for full-time veterinary technicians and $6,000 for credentialed veterinary technicians. The hospital address is 1200 Route 9 North, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience; CVT/LVT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtain and prepare blood samples for diagnostic testing.
Provide anesthesia, sedation, and procedural support.
Set up constant rate infusions (CRIs) and perform medical calculations.
Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy.
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate care.
Collect diagnostic samples and maintain records.
Position patients for radiology and follow radiology safety practices.
