About The Position

The Neurology Veterinary Assistant supports a collaborative clinical team caring for patients receiving advanced medical treatments. The role involves a variety of neurology cases, including running CT or MRI scans and assisting with advanced neurological treatments and procedures. Success in the department requires teamwork, compassion, and a focus on excellent patient care.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience.
• Proficiency in calculations, including drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork, compassion, and a focus on excellent patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Previous neurology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures.
• Communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and provide education by phone and in person.
• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, and collect updated patient information.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
• Assist with spinal and joint tap procedures and perform venipuncture.
• Run CT or MRI scans and participate in advanced neurological treatments and procedures.
