About The Position

MedVet is a fast-growing emergency and specialty provider with practices nationwide, offering advanced medical treatments and innovations. The Neurology Veterinary Assistant joins the clinical team and supports a range of neurology cases, including CT or MRI scans and advanced neurological treatments and procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and excellent patient care.

The position also involves assisting with surgical procedures, communicating with clients, managing appointments and patient information, documenting medical records, and helping with spinal and joint tap procedures and venipuncture.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Proficiency in calculations, including drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Pass a drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.

• Previous neurology experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures.
• Communicate with clients, including scheduling and providing education by phone and face to face.
• Manage appointments and obtain histories and updated patient information.
• Accurately and thoroughly document medical records.
• Assist with spinal and joint tap procedures.
• Perform venipuncture.
• Run CT or MRI scans and participate in advanced neurological treatments and procedures.
