About The Position

Medical Veterinary Service is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience and flexible scheduling to be discussed during the interview. We are a compassionate, modern veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. Our two-doctor practice is supported by a well-established team that works together to deliver high-quality medicine while maintaining a positive, supportive workplace. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician with at least two years of veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience. You will work closely with our veterinarians throughout examinations, diagnostics, treatments, surgery, and hospitalized patient care.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations and treatments
  • Supporting surgical procedures
  • Performing diagnostic testing, including bloodwork and urinalysis
  • Assisting with and obtaining diagnostic X-rays
  • Administering medications as directed
  • Administering vaccinations as directed
  • Assisting with anesthesia and anesthetic patient care
  • Monitoring patients throughout procedures and recovery
  • Providing attentive care to hospitalized patients
  • Helping care for hospitalized patients on weekends as needed
  • Safely handling and restraining animals
  • Educating pet owners about treatment plans and home care
  • Providing client education regarding preventive health measures
  • Maintaining accurate and complete medical records
  • Cleaning and maintaining medical equipment
  • Helping maintain clean, organized, and sanitary treatment areas
  • Communicating effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members
