Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience and/or appropriate veterinary technician credentials
  • Provide compassionate, attentive patient care
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians and support staff
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients

Responsibilities

  • Supporting veterinarians with patient care, examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Assisting with diagnostic and medical procedures
  • Providing compassionate and safe patient handling and restraint
  • Supporting patient treatments and medication administration
  • Assisting with laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Supporting surgical and anesthetic procedures as appropriate to your experience and credentials
  • Maintaining accurate patient medical records
  • Communicating clearly with veterinarians and fellow team members
  • Educating and communicating compassionately with pet owners
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Helping maintain a positive hospital culture
  • Keeping patient care and treatment areas clean and organized
  • Asking for help when you need it—and offering help when a teammate does
  • Occasionally participating in a cat rodeo
