Credentialed Veterinary Technician
About The Position
The Credentialed Veterinary Technician is a vital member of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing laboratory work. The technician guides and supports the medical team to help maintain an efficient workflow and mentors others as they develop their skills and careers. The role also partners with clients by educating pet owners about treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering questions. The technician contributes to a positive hospital culture through training, feedback, and maintaining high standards. Responsibilities may vary by hospital and state and are governed by the applicable state Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in technical skills including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
