Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their dedicated team. Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience
  • Strong technical and patient-care skills
  • Experience assisting with surgical and dental procedures
  • Comfort with catheter placement and blood draws
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring
  • Familiarity with laboratory sample collection and preparation
  • Experience assisting with diagnostic imaging
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians with routine patient appointments
  • Supporting surgical and dental procedures
  • Preparing patients and equipment for surgery
  • Placing IV catheters
  • Performing blood draws
  • Monitoring anesthesia
  • Setting up, monitoring, and assisting with dental and surgical procedures
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples for in-house and offsite testing
  • Assisting with radiographs
  • Assisting with ultrasounds under the guidance of the attending veterinarian
  • Ensuring surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
  • Preparing examination rooms before scheduled patient visits
  • Providing detailed and accurate medical notes following appointments
  • Answering phones and assisting with client communication
  • Helping maintain an efficient daily hospital workflow
  • Working collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members
