Veterinary Receptionist/Client Service Representative

About The Position

VCA Blairstown Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, communicative, part-time Client Service Representative to represent the hospital in its reception area. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and has served the community for decades, valuing long-term relationships with clients and their pets. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative helps build and maintain customers’ trust and confidence and serves as a central point of operation for the hospital. The role includes welcoming visitors, handling calls and appointments, checking clients in and out, making follow-up and prospective-client calls, explaining fees and processing payments, and helping keep the facility neat and clean. It also involves informing clients about available services and products and answering questions about non-medical pet care. Part-time hours are Monday through Friday, include some evenings, and include rotating Saturdays. Pay is $18.00–$21.00, depending on experience, education, certification, and other factors. Responsibilities

Greet visitors, answer telephones, schedule appointments, and check clients in and out.
Place outbound follow-up calls and contact prospective clients.
Present and explain fees and process payments.
Maintain the hospital, including removing animal waste, and ensure the facility is neat and clean.
Recommend and explain available hospital services and products to clients.
Answer questions about products and services and educate clients on non-medical pet care, including heartworm prevention, vaccines, and flea and tick control.
