Part-Time Veterinary Assistant - Balboa Veterinary Medical Center
About The Position
Balboa Veterinary Medical Center is a full-service veterinary practice in Granada Hills that has served pets and their families for more than 50 years. The practice provides wellness and preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Its team aims to create a welcoming, nurturing environment and provide personalized treatment plans focused on each patient’s health and comfort. The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures; handles and restrains animals safely; administers medications and vaccines; collects laboratory samples; maintains patient records; educates clients about pet care; and helps keep the work environment clean and organized. This is a part-time role requiring veterinary clinic experience and flexible availability, potentially including opening and closing shifts. Compensation is $19–$24 per hour, depending on experience.

- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary clinic.
- Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
