About The Position
Lovejoy Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is hiring a part-time Associate Veterinarian to provide weekend general practice and urgent care services to companion animals in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. The role includes a varied caseload spanning routine wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, and same-day urgent cases. The position offers flexible scheduling and no on-call duties. The veterinarian works with a 2.5-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio and a team of technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. Lovejoy serves Boston’s North End and surrounding neighborhoods in a facility with advanced medical technology and a warm, welcoming environment. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Active veterinary license in good standing in Massachusetts prior to the start date.
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and high-quality patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort triaging and managing urgent care cases is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general practice and urgent care services to companion animals.
- See cases involving routine wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, and same-day urgent care.
- Collaborate with technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and other veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care.
- Work weekend shifts.
Benefits
- Salary of $80,000–$110,000 per year plus ProSal.
