About The Position

Earlysville Animal Hospital in Earlysville, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its compassionate, collaborative team. The practice primarily seeks an experienced veterinarian but may consider a motivated new graduate. Mentorship for new graduates includes shadowing experienced doctors, extended appointment times, and one-on-one surgical training. This is a role in a well-established, six-doctor small animal practice with a supportive environment, medical resources, and a renovated hospital featuring six exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, and a large treatment area. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography and dental radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic and surgical lasers, and acupuncture services. The team includes four Licensed Veterinary Technicians, five veterinary assistants, and Fear Free-trained support staff. Experience and a strong interest in soft tissue surgery are highly preferred. The practice seeks a veterinarian confident performing surgical procedures and eager to further develop its surgical services. Full-time veterinarians typically work three to four days per week, with rotating Saturdays and no after-hours or on-call requirements. The team supports ongoing learning through regular lunch-and-learns, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Veterinary experience is primarily sought; motivated new graduates may also be considered.
Confidence performing surgical procedures is sought.

Responsibilities
