VENDING ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Vending Attendant provides vending products and services at a single location. The role receives deliveries of beverages, bakery and specialty food products, snacks, and sundries; stocks vending machines, coolers, shelves, and racks; removes stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise; collects money and refills bill and coin changers; and records transactions using the appropriate card or electronic device. The attendant is accountable for cash and product, contacts existing customers to assess service, prepares orders for food and pastry products, informs customers about new products and services, and listens to and resolves service complaints. The position also includes routine machine maintenance and sanitation, keeping the storeroom and vending area clean, and setting up promotional displays or distributing promotional materials. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Canteen's location on Knott Street in Garden Grove, California. The pay range is $19.30 to $20.30 per hour. Previous stocking skills and experience reading product code dates are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of beverages, bakery products, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
- Stock vending machines and coolers, and collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
- Record transactions on the appropriate card or electronic device.
- Remain accountable for cash and product.
- Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
- Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
- Inform regular customers about new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines, and maintain a clean storeroom and vending area.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue promotional materials to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
