About The Position

The Vending Attendant provides vending products and services at a single customer location. The role receives and stocks merchandise, maintains vending machines and the vending area, handles cash and transactions, and provides service to existing customers. The position is full time at Canteen in Garden Grove, California, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pay range is $19.30 to $20.30 per hour.

• Previous stocking skills and the ability to read product code dates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries of soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines and coolers.
• Collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
• Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions using the appropriate card or electronic device.
• Remain accountable for cash and product.
• Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
• Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Inform regular customers about new products or services.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines.
• Maintain a clean storeroom and vending area.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or provide promotional materials to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
