VENDING ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Vending Attendant provides vending products and services at a single location. The position receives deliveries of items such as beverages, bakery products, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries; stocks vending machines and coolers; collects unsold or stale merchandise; and collects money from machines and refills bill and coin changers. The attendant records transactions using appropriate cards or electronic devices and is accountable for cash and products. The role includes calling on existing customers to assess service, preparing food and pastry order forms, informing customers about new products and services, and listening to and resolving service complaints. It also involves routine maintenance and sanitation of machines, keeping the storeroom and vending area clean, and setting up merchandise or promotional displays. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Previous stocking experience and the ability to read product code dates are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of beverages, bakery products, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
- Stock vending machines and coolers and collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
- Record transactions on the appropriate card or electronic device.
- Maintain accountability for cash and products.
- Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
- Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
- Inform regular customers about new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines and keep the storeroom and vending area clean.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or provide promotional materials to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
