VENDING ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Vending Attendant provides vending products and services at a single location. The role receives deliveries of beverages, bakery products, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries; stocks vending machines and coolers; collects stale or unsold merchandise; and collects money and refills bill and coin changers. The attendant records transactions, remains accountable for cash and products, and performs routine machine maintenance and sanitation while keeping the storeroom and vending area clean. The position also includes customer service responsibilities: checking with existing customers to ensure service is adequate, preparing food and pastry product orders, informing customers about new products and services, and listening to and resolving service complaints. The attendant may set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or distribute promotional materials, and performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position at Canteen in Garden Grove, California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $19.30 to $20.30 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
- Stock shelves or racks in vending machines and coolers.
- Collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
- Record transactions on the appropriate card or electronic device.
- Remain accountable for cash and product.
- Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
- Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines.
- Maintain a clean storeroom and vending area.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue promotional materials to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
