About The Position

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing skilled diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role involves working independently or as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the transportation fleet. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty diesel and gasoline engines and related vehicle systems.
Possession of a valid Nevada Driver's License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including confined spaces and at heights.
Must attach a current DMV report (no more than 6 months old) with proof of valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certifications (e.g., T1-T8, L1, L2, T3).
Experience with diagnostic software and electronic control modules (ECM).
Experience with alternative fuel vehicles (e.g., CNG, propane).

Responsibilities

Perform skilled diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and services.
Operate diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental policies.
Assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
Respond to emergency repair calls as needed.
