About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to repair and perform preventative maintenance on company-owned fleet vehicles and equipment. The role supports safe operations by following work practices and policies, moving company equipment around the yard when needed, assisting drivers with vehicle issues, and maintaining equipment, facility areas, and required checklists. The mechanic must ensure equipment is parked and secured in accordance with facility permit and DOT requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a team environment.
At least 1 year of prior experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
At least 1 year of DOT inspection experience.
Must provide own basic tools.
Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Move company equipment safely around the yard as needed.
Assist drivers with outstanding vehicle issues.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, including changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
Complete daily checklists as required.
Ensure equipment is properly parked and secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
Maintain the facility through housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties and tasks assigned by management or required by the needs of the business.
