About The Position

The Variable Operations Systems Specialist will support AutoCanada’s variable operations systems by helping maintain reliable deal, inventory, access, and integration workflows across the dealership group. Acting as a subject matter expert and operational bridge between stores, Store Support Centre teams, vendors, and business owners, this role helps ensure system requests are properly reviewed, risks are controlled, configuration issues are prevented, and stores can process deals, manage inventory, and complete month-end activities without avoidable system disruption.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of dealership variable-operations workflows, including sales, finance, inventory, deal flow, compliance requirements, and month-end processes.
  • Expert-level knowledge of CDK FI and/or DeskIt, with the ability to troubleshoot workflow, access, mapping, and integration issues.
  • Functional working knowledge of integrations and related platforms such as CDK CRM, OneEIGHTY, vAuto, HomeNet, Dealertrack, RouteOne, OEM integrations, and CDK Deal Templates.
  • Ability to translate compliance, tax, F&I, inventory, and deal-workflow requirements into clear system processes, support procedures, and controlled change-management practices.
  • Excellent communication, issue-triage, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work directly with stores, corporate teams, vendors, and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DeskIt, CDK FI, OneEIGHTY, and CDK CRM support for dealership and Store Support Centre team members.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations on variable operations workflows and related system processes.
  • Support DeskIt user administration in partnership with corporate stakeholders and Helpdesk, including access reviews, user audits, and validation of role or permission changes.
  • Validate requests using the appropriate business owners and compliance resources, including OMVIC, AMVIC, VSA/BC, tax, F&I compliance, deal-workflow, inventory-workflow, and controller resources.
  • Work within the Dealership Application team supporting overarching systems such as CDK Unify and CDK Drive focusing on user management and audits, non-operations configuration and CDK Hardware.
