About The Position

Sunkeeper Solar's Operations & Systems Specialist will be a crucial part of Sunkeeper’s team, overseeing a variety of key tasks that will keep the business running smoothly and allow us to execute on solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage, and cogeneration projects in and around the New York Metropolitan Area. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years’ experience in operations and systems management, be interested to learn about renewable energy design and implementation, and be excited to work in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree
  • Experience administrating Google Workspace
  • Understanding of best network and endpoint security practices, group policy administration
  • Detail Oriented and Organized
  • Positive attitude and desire to work in person within a team

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years experience in operations of small to medium construction business
  • 1+ years working with third party payroll platforms
  • Any certifications in network or endpoint security management or IT Operations
  • Quickbooks Online

Responsibilities

  • Track available benefits & benefits usage
  • Point of contact for employee questions on Health and Benefits
  • Run competitive solicitations to ensure Sunkeeper’s benefits program is competitive and cost effective
  • Ensure that all required deductions for benefits are being applied to payroll
  • Administer new benefit programs
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding efforts for new employees
  • Maintain & Update company policy handbook
  • Maintain & Update Organization of Standard Procedures and Policies
  • Maintain and Solve Issues with 3rd party PEO Platform
  • Assist in compiling information for insurance audits
  • Assist with regulatory filings and compliance as needed
  • Create and maintain a system to track vendor payment information, tax information, and insurance status
  • Onboard new vendors
  • Review and Process Contract Documents
  • Contract Review Assistance for Business Development Team
  • Contract Review Assistance for Subcontractors
  • Lien Waivers
  • Perform Project Close Out
  • Supporting with other operational tasks that arise
  • Supporting with administrative tasks

  • Running company wide reports
  • Receiving and sorting Mail
  • Setting up new employee work stations
  • Actively manage/administrate Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive/Shared Drives, etc.)
  • Be a central point of contact of all staff to solve IT issues –(software, aaccount connectivity, password resets, etc…)
  • Selecting, procuring and deploying various IT assets (user laptops, tablets, network equipment)
  • Cataloging/labelling of all IT assets
  • Ensuring proper security/safety
  • Monitoring existing network and firewall
  • Troubleshooting performance or connectivity issues
  • Own process improvement initiatives across operations and field administration including deploying AI tools to reduce manual work
