About The Position

Fish & Richardson, a premier global intellectual property law firm, is seeking an IP Operations Systems Specialist to join their fast-paced Practice Systems Department. This role is part of The Hub, Fish’s remote-first group of professionals, meaning employees work primarily from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence. The position is remote-first, with a focus on candidates in MA, DE, NY, CA, DC, MN, TX, GA, and IL. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining IP systems through regular audits, data cleanup, and validation, assisting with daily matter opening and staffing updates, developing and running reports and audits, and supporting initiatives to implement automation for increased efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
IP docketing/management systems
Document management systems

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience in patent or trademark prosecution support services preferred.
MS SQL skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that IP systems are maintained through regular audits, data cleanup, and validation.
Assisting with daily matter opening and staffing updates required by the practice groups.
Developing and running recurring and ad hoc reports and audits in response to requests made through processes established by department leadership.
Assisting with initiatives to implement automation to create efficiencies for the IP Operations Team and practice groups.
