About The Position

This position provides dependable transportation and social support to consumers in our community. Work focuses on ensuring consumer safety, dignity, and comfort while maintaining accurate communication and documentation. As a Van driver, you will perform the following duties: Transpiration Services: Drive a county vehicle to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to customers Passenger Assistance: Help passengers including senior adults and wheelchair users safely board and exit the vehicle and navigate uneven or unpaved pathways while Clear Communication: Maintain effective communication with passengers, dispatch, and agency staff in person and over two-way radio Technology Use: Operate electronic tablets and other approved technology to access schedules, document services, and complete required program records Professional Conduct: Demonstrate reliability, patience, professionalism, and the ability to work independently

Requirements

  • One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  • No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Pass a medical examination and drug screening.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
