Located in Honesdale, PA, Wayne County Area Agency on Aging is seeking a qualified individual for an exciting position assisting senior citizens with accessing resources to promote safety, independence, and well-being. Requirements
- Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation
- Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment)
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment)
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload by guiding older adults and their families through needed services
- Work with physicians, community programs, financial institutions, and other partners to support consumer needs
- Carry out important duties such as Protective Services, Care Transitions, and Person-Centered Counseling
- Handle multiple assignments by completing paperwork, tracking details, and meeting required deadlines
- Travel outside the county when needed, including occasional overnight trips
