About The Position

Woodbury Corporation is hiring a part-time overnight Valet at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City. The schedule is Fridays and Saturdays, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Valet welcomes hotel guests, parks and retrieves vehicles, communicates parking procedures, and helps guests with questions or concerns. The role also includes monitoring the property for safety and security issues, keeping public areas and walkways clear and safe, and assisting the Maintenance Department with snow removal during winter. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with potential for tips. Applicants must be at least 21, pass a background check and drug test, and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must pass a mandatory background check and drug test.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
Must have a calm, service-oriented demeanor and strong communication skills.
Must be able to move and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and walk or run to retrieve cars during busy periods.
High school education or equivalent experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience is helpful.
Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome arriving guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
Carefully and efficiently park, secure, and retrieve guest vehicles.
Help guests with questions about the property, getting around, and nearby activities.
Communicate parking procedures to guests.
Resolve guest complaints and assist with issues related to the parking experience.
Monitor the hotel for safety and security issues.
Keep public areas and walkways safe and clutter-free, including assisting with winter snow removal.
Handle cash conscientiously and in accordance with departmental procedures.
