About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant makes a positive impression on every guest by engaging with guests and customers in a friendly manner. The role is responsible for safely parking and retrieving vehicles in a parking garage or similar facility. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

Be friendly and outgoing, with an upbeat personality, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
Be able to smile during customer interactions and build relationships with customers.
Maintain uniform standards while on the job premises.
Be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Be able to run and move quickly.
Be able to organize cars efficiently.
Be able to stand for long periods.
Be able to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual transmission vehicle.
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residency.
Pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Have an organized approach to work.
Have a clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Operate vehicles safely to minimize the potential for accidents.
Keep track of keys and cars throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through enthusiasm for the job.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Maintain a sharp, neatly groomed appearance.
Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
