About The Position

Pilgrim Parking is hiring a full-time seasonal Valet Attendant in Boston, Massachusetts, to start immediately. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The position pays $20 per hour plus cash tips and requires a valid driver’s license held for at least two years, as well as the ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.

The attendant greets and thanks guests, parks and retrieves vehicles safely and promptly, explains parking rates and vehicle-retrieval instructions, and inspects vehicles before taking possession of them. The role also involves maintaining a professional uniform and demeanor, helping resolve guest issues, and completing small cleaning or maintenance tasks and other projects when requested by local management. Other duties may be assigned based on operational needs.

The work is active and largely outdoors. Employees may stand, walk, run, and carry items, with occasional lifting requirements stated in the posting. They may encounter weather, fumes, and airborne particles. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and at least two years of driving experience.
• Be able to drive manual-transmission (stick-shift) vehicles.
• Be energetic and outgoing, and able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50 pounds if needed.
• Communicate well in written and spoken language with a friendly, professional approach.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and help resolve customer issues positively.
• Be comfortable parking cars in tight spaces.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of valet parking experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests cheerfully and thank them upon exit.
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and in a timely manner.
• Explain parking rates and provide instructions for retrieving self-park vehicles.
• Inspect each vehicle before taking possession of it and follow company guidelines.
• Maintain the company uniform appearance and a friendly, professional manner.
• Resolve customer issues positively and helpfully.
• Complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks and other special projects when requested by local management.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
