About The Position

The valet serves as the face of the dealership's service and sales departments, ensuring smooth vehicle movement, strict safety protocols, and courteous customer interactions. The position is located at Paul Miller Chevy in West Caldwell, New Jersey, with an hourly salary range of $17.00 to $18.00.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record; must be insurable under the dealership's policy.
• Ability to safely drive both automatic and manual (stick-shift) transmissions.
• Strong verbal communication, a friendly demeanor, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Welcome incoming guests in the service drive professionally, assist with packages or luggage, and connect guests with service advisors.
• Record vehicle details, including the customer's name, VIN, license plate, and mileage, and inspect and document pre-existing exterior damage before moving vehicles.
• Safely park customer, loaner, and inventory vehicles in designated areas, ensuring windows are rolled up and doors are locked.
• Keep service lanes and driveways clear of congestion, dirt, snow, and debris.
• Quickly retrieve vehicles when service or sales appointments conclude.
• Assist with loaner car check-outs and check-ins.
• Transport customers via shuttle if needed.
• Move inoperable vehicles for technicians.
• Place protective floor mats and seat covers in vehicles.
