Valet-Pinehurst Country Club-Part Time
About The Position
The Valet provides service to Members by parking and retrieving cars and greeting Members and Guests at the Pinehurst Country Club entrance. The role requires driving company or company-insured vehicles, following safe and defensive driving practices, and complying with traffic laws and company policies. The employee may be assigned to different Food and Beverage outlet locations based on business needs and may be required to work holidays wherever needed, even when their primary outlet is closed. The position regularly involves standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, and communicating. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may occasionally encounter wet or humid conditions. The noise level is usually moderate. Pinehurst may transfer employees to another assignment or location on a temporary or regular basis as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least one month of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) clearance according to company guidelines.
- Ability to operate both manual-transmission and automatic vehicles.
- Follow safe-driving requirements, traffic laws, and company policies, including the Substance Abuse Policy.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome Members and Guests.
- Open car doors and doors at the Clubhouse entrance.
- Park cars and ensure vehicles are locked after parking.
- Retrieve cars for Members and Guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driveway entrance, including removing cigarette butts, trash, and litter.
- Drive company or company-insured vehicles safely and defensively, obey traffic laws, use a seat belt, and follow company policies and procedures.
- Report accidents immediately and cooperate with insurance claims investigations.
- Be available to work at various Food and Beverage outlet locations based on business levels.
- Work holidays wherever needed, even if the employee’s primary outlet is closed.
