About The Position
The Host greets and seats guests in dining outlets during operating hours. The position may be assigned to different Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels, and employees are expected to work holidays wherever needed, including when their primary outlet is closed. Pinehurst may transfer employees to another job assignment or location on a temporary or regular basis as needed. Other job duties may be assigned in Pinehurst’s changing work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to regularly stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Meet, greet, and seat Members and Guests.
- Ensure menus for the meal period are presentable.
- Answer the phone during hours of operation.
- Report Members’ or Guests’ needs, problems, or concerns to a supervisor.
- Assist servers with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables when needed and time allows.
- Remove extra place settings from tables when seating guests.
- Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled.
- Keep the Host/Hostess stand clean and organized.
- Work in various Food and Beverage outlet locations depending on business levels.
- Work holidays wherever needed, even if the employee’s primary outlet is closed.
