About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The Valet Driver safely parks customers’ vehicles while delivering a seamless, professional customer experience. The role involves inspecting vehicles, explaining rates, following safe driving practices, communicating with customers, and supporting management as needed. The position is located in Sacramento, California.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license with current address and an acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly, use hands to handle cash and equipment, occasionally sit or climb/balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to help provide customers with a seamless transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout each shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
