About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. SP+ operates a large parking network, with more than 23,000 employees at over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. The Valet Driver helps provide safe, seamless parking and transportation experiences while interacting professionally with clients and customers.

The role involves inspecting and safely parking vehicles, explaining valet rates, following traffic laws, reporting incidents and hazards, and responding to customer requests or concerns. Drivers are expected to know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways, and to arrive on time in a clean uniform for each scheduled shift. Employees may also assist management with other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Have a valid state driver’s license, a current address, and an acceptable driving record.
• Provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
• Communicate accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
• Meet the role's physical demands, including regularly standing and walking, handling cash and equipment, occasionally sitting and climbing or balancing, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to provide customers with a seamless transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
