Massachusetts Valet Driver
About The Position
SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking safe Valet drivers who enjoy interacting with people and providing a seamless transportation experience. Valet drivers help deliver on the company’s promise by resolving client requests and concerns, communicating proactively, inspecting and safely parking vehicles, explaining rates, and following traffic laws and safety practices. The role also includes reporting accidents and safety hazards, knowing local streets and landmarks, maintaining a clean uniform, and assisting management with additional duties as assigned. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The posted pay is $19.00 per hour plus tips; the stated range includes the hourly rate and estimated tips.
Requirements
- Valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S., with valid documentation provided if hired.
- Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
- Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
Responsibilities
- Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
- Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note all findings.
- Explain valet rates to customers.
- Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
- Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers' transportation experience.
- Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
- Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
