The Valet Attendant provides courteous, efficient, and safe valet service while protecting guest vehicles and delivering a welcoming, professional experience from arrival through departure. The role includes greeting guests, assisting with vehicle drop-off and retrieval, managing traffic flow, responding to guest inquiries, and following company policies and vehicle-handling procedures. Valet Attendants work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and are expected to communicate clearly, maintain a polished appearance, and contribute to a high-quality guest experience. The position involves working indoors and outdoors at on-site parking facilities and in corporate settings, often in varied weather and potentially noisy surroundings with moving vehicles. Team members collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and clients, and may use computers, phones, and personal cell phones for work-related communication and applications. The role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods. Nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule requirements. The role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek, at one and one-half times the regular hourly rate. Valets can average $13.00–$20.00 or more per hour, combining base pay and tips; rates vary by market and tips depend on service performance and customer interactions. Employment is at will, and a 120-day introductory period applies.
